Yancy has 21+ years of marketing experience at venture-backed and some of the most well-known enterprise technology brands, bringing a dynamic blend of entrepreneurial creativity and “roll-up-sleeves” execution with scalable best practices. He specializes in demand-driven marketing, an integrated approach to engaging target audiences, shaping brand attitudes and generating demand for unique value propositions.

Pipeline Focused


Yancy is one of the few enterprise technology marketing executives with a significant background in strategic and tactical marketing along with direct sales and partner marketing, making him highly adept at shaping attitudes and building pipeline with the distinctive ability to quickly translate complex strategy into impactful execution. Most recently, he served as CMO of Destiny Solutions, a mid-stage provider of business applications, where he launched an online newspaper and increased lead run rate 300%+. Before that, he served as CMO of NIKSUN, a leading provider of cyber security solutions, where he drove the first syndicated campaign, partnering with Forrester Research, CIO magazine and TechTarget to generate 400+ qualified leads. Previously, Yancy was SVP, Sales & Marketing at Education Dynamics, where he improved sales productivity 18% through account optimization and demand generation.

Prior to that, Yancy was CMO of Wimba, a VC-backed software company, where he achieved 68% brand share of voice; doubled lead run rate, converting to 20%+ of pipeline; and led the industry’s first global user conference, connecting 200+ attendees from 11 countries. Before Wimba, Yancy was VP of Marketing at INFONXX, where he drove a new product launch that raised $4+ million in pipeline in the first 6 months. Previously, Yancy spent 5-1/2 years at Oracle, where he created the industry messaging to help reposition Oracle as “The Information Company” through a global brand campaign. He also developed the messaging map and points of view for the global telecom industry and successfully directed a multi-million dollar global demand generation campaign. Before Oracle, Yancy held progressive marketing leadership positions at Teradata and NCR.

Formally Trained & Educated

Yancy received his MBA with highest honors from University of Dayton, and his bachelor's degree in Marketing from California State University, Northridge.
